Southworks 2015
Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation
Watkinsville, GA
April 10-May 8, 2015
Reception: April 10 (6-9 PM)

In the waning days of autumn, after the parting burst of colour, I explored tidal pools and puddles where leaves had fallen. There I expected to see fading and decay, but instead I often found subtle beauty, intensified by the twilight and encroaching darkness. For me these images conjure up wisps of memories of my mother and her decline through Alzheimer's where there too, as I watched the fading away, the softening of lines, the dissolution of realities, I caught glimpses of her inner beauty shining in the darkness.
